The TESDA Regional Training Center I conducted its annual team building activity on June 28-29, 2024 at El Pasyador Resort, Bangar, La Union. This activity is aimed to foster connections and extensive discussions among the center’s workforce in processing work plans, and providing resolutions to organizational issues and concerns.
“We should transform like the soft broom – regardless of our differences in colors, length, status and ideocracies, as long as we are banded with the spirit of unity and teamwork, we will achieve our aspirations and goals, especially that of our vision and mission reflected in our IDP 2023-2028” says Engr. Arturo G. Gañalon, the Supervising TESD Specialist of RTC1 on his Opening Address.
This year’s team building has a theme “Enabling leaders, empowering workers” which is geared towards enhancing the capabilities of the center’s workforce in leading and managing teams. It was further discussed through a lecture facilitated by Dr. Charito L. Manapat, R.N, MAN, Ph.D., Ed.D. and Dr. Rodolfo M. Corpuz, CPA, MPA, Ph.D., Ed.D, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Bernard College, respectively.
“This activity also provides us the opportunity to leave our desks and bond together as RTC1 family. It is a time for us to revisit, rethink and revive our inter-personal relationships with each other” emphasizes Chief Artemio S. Pulido during his Administrator’s Hour talk.
The staff were also given the opportunity to enjoy through fun but educational team-building games that underscores the importance of having proper communication in the workplace, teamwork, accountability and having a sense of ownership. They were also given with case analysis wherein leadership styles and qualities of a good leader were highlighted.
“This two-day activity is actually mandated by law through Executive Order No. 292 and CSC Resolution No. 101262 of 2014. And we thank our Sec. Suharto “Teng” Mangudadatu for authorizing us conduct such, as this activity enables us to be more creative, efficient, and productive. And now that we are equipped and engaged, let us continue delivering quality-assured technical education and training to our clients!” concludes Ms. Evelyn C. Ramos, a Senior TESD Specialist and the overall focal/organizer of the event. (????)
