In support to the mandate of the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 1, to provide meaningful activities that aim to hasten the healing and recovery of children in conflict with the law, TESDA-RTCLU conducts Training in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NCII from May 22 to July 9, 2024 inside the rehabilitation center in Bauang, La Union.
“We believe that empowering CICLs through engaging them with technical vocational training will equip them with occupational skills that will help them become productive citizens once they are reintegrated into their families.” says Ms. Leah Mylen L. Lucero, RRCY head, on her letter to the RTCLU.
Mr. Danilo D. Navalta, an accredited trainer and assessor in SMAW, will serve as the trainer. This training is expected to capacitate twenty-five CICLs.
